Hi, I’m Laura…
I’m the hands and heart behind Well Papered. My family includes my husband, our two daughters, two rabbits, and a very loyal labrador. Life is full in the best way, and my business is an extension of that same love of home and creativity.
How It All Started
My journey began as a military spouse, where I spent years turning houses into homes. Years of frequent moves gave me a unique appreciation for creating beautiful, personal spaces, which led me to explore various creative fields, including commissioned art.
My interest in interior design eventually focused on wallpaper. What began as a personal project evolved into a dedicated passion for the craft of traditional wallcovering installation. This passion ultimately led me to the art of wallpaper.
From military moves to mastering wallpaper, my story is all about creativity, resilience, and a love of home. I trained at the only accredited wallpaper school in the U.S., learned from a master with 50 years of experience, and now I transform walls into art. When I’m not hanging paper, you’ll usually find me needlepointing, being a proud “pony mom,” or hunting down my next great cup of coffee.
Why Well Papered?
I feel honored every time a client trusts me to transform their walls into art. Owning my own business provides the flexibility to dedicate myself fully to my craft while remaining present for my family—a balance that is incredibly important to me.
“Wow! We’re so in love with how our little girl's nursery turned out! The wallpaper is absolutely perfect and has completely transformed the room. Laura was a pleasure to work with—very friendly and professional. If you want a flawless finish, look no further. We couldn't be happier!”

Art has always been part of my story. I studied studio art in college, painted commissioned works for years, and grew up surrounded by wallpaper in my Southern upbringing. My childhood home was covered in it, and my grandmother and great-grandmother’s houses were filled with gorgeous blue-and-white chinoiserie prints. That mix of art, tradition, and creativity still shapes everything I do at Well Papered.
